Benson Boone Drops A New Song From The Upcoming Album

Benson Boone continues to make his way among rising stars with the release of his new single, “Mystical Magical.” The track arrived last Thursday (April 24) via Night Street Records/Warner Records. The playful track marks the second song from his upcoming debut album, “American Heart.”

Following the popular waves of his Coachella performance earlier this month, “Mystical Magical” showcases the singer-songwriter’s signature falsetto against a bright, jangly pop-rock backdrop. Lyrically, Boone leans into the heady, almost surreal sensations of love. Thus delivering an airy chorus that captures the song’s euphoric spirit.
“‘Cause it feels so mystical, magical, oh baby / ‘Cause once you know, once you know / My love is so mystical, magical, oh baby / ‘Cause once you know, once you know.”

Benson Boone and Continuous Success

The release is accompanied by a vibrant lyric video directed by Matt Eastin. It features Benson Boone dancing through various colorful scenes. Starting from balloons flying everywhere to spontaneous movie theater twirls., The video visually echoes the song’s playful, dreamlike tone.

Boone’s power as a performer was on full display during his Coachella debut on April 11. He both introduced “Mystical Magical” to a live audience and surprised the crowd by welcoming Queen legend Brian May. He invited the legend to the stage for a rousing rendition of “Bohemian Rhapsody.” The moment was a testament to Boone’s increasingly eclectic musical range and his knack for captivating performance.

The Washington native first captured major attention with “Sorry I’m Here for Someone Else.” The song is the lead single from “American Heart,” which cracked the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No. 36. After which it climbed to No. 13 on the Pop Airplay chart. Thus, this marks a clear sign of Boone’s momentum heading into a packed summer.

Next up, Boone will debut on Saturday Night Live on May 3. He will perform as the musical guest alongside host Quinta Brunson. He is also set to hit the festival circuit with appearances at BottleRock Napa Valley. Also, he will be at Summerfest in Milwaukee and Governors Ball in New York City. Thus Benon Boone will position himself for what could be a breakout year.
