J-Hope Revealed Some Glimpses of BTS’ Reunion In Interview

As BTS fans are waiting for a reunion, J-Hope has offered a hopeful glimpse into the group’s future in a recent interview.

In a newly released clip from his forthcoming interview with Apple Music 1’s Zane Lowe, the rapper spoke candidly about the band’s next chapter. J-Hope said he’s looking forward to June when all seven members are expected to be discharged from military service.

“I look forward to June when our members will have completed their service,” he said via closed-captioned translation. “We will quickly get together and talk about what BTS can do in the future. I think it’s going to be a massive energy.”

Additionally, J-Hope’s comments arrive just over six months after his own return from military service. Thus, he was the second BTS member to be discharged following Jin’s release. The group has been on an official radio silence since 2022. Based on each member fulfilling their national service duties. Yet BTS’ global reach hasn’t faltered. Each artist has explored solo ventures and released personal projects that have only broadened their creative horizons.

I think that over time, we each refined our unique identities as we worked on our own music,” J-Hope reflected. “The funny thing for me is when our identities, which have taken shape in various ways, come together as BTS. I’m curious to see how it’ll look.”

J-Hope and New Solo Journey

So, for J-Hope, that evolution has been on full display. After beginning his service in February 2023, the artist returned with a full stack of solo material. His collaboration with J. Cole, “On the Street,” arrived in March 2023. This was followed by the spring 2024 release of “HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1.” The EP, in simple words, is genre-spanning, and, what’s more, it debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200.

As the group’s full lineup inches closer to reconvening, anticipation continues to swell — not just for a reunion, but for the creative force that emerges when BTS is back together in the same room. If J-Hope’s optimism is any indication, that moment may be just around the corner.
