Charlie Castell’s ‘Beautiful Apocalypse’: A Soundtrack for Activism and Hope
Indie-rock artist Charlie Castell has officially released his politically charged album, Beautiful Apocalypse. This album marks Castell’s first exploration of social and political themes through music, showcasing his commitment to driving meaningful change.
Recorded with Grammy-winning producer Andre de Santanna in Los Angeles, Beautiful Apocalypse features an array of live instrumentation, including guitars, drums, horns, flutes, and strings, crafting a unique sound that resonates with the urgency of its message. Castell aims to use music as a catalyst for conversation, focusing on the pressing issues facing the United States and the world today.
I wrote the album to give a voice to all the feelings I and so many of us have been experiencing as we have watched the US and the world go down a dark path over the last 15 years, and we have witnessed more and more division and anger in society. As a parent, I have been feeling trauma for years now, watching the meanness of political leaders and the horrors inflicted on innocents, especially children.
