Katy Perry Announces 2025 Australian Arena Tour
Katy Perry is set to make her long-awaited return to Australia in 2025 with The Lifetimes Tour, marking her first Australian tour in six years. The U.S. pop icon will kick off her five-date arena tour at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on June 9, 2025, with stops in Melbourne, Brisbane, and concluding at Perth’s RAC Arena. The tour promises a mix of Perry’s classic hits along with new tracks from her latest album, 143, released last Friday via EMI.
The Lifetimes Tour will be Perry’s opportunity to reconnect with Australian fans, offering a high-energy show that celebrates her illustrious career. “It’s a party and you’re all invited! Stoked to see you in June 2025,” Perry said, expressing her excitement about performing in Australia again. Fans can expect a vibrant setlist that includes her biggest hits and fresh material from her seventh album, which follows her 2020 release, Smile, which peaked at No. 2 on the ARIA Chart.
The tour announcement comes as Perry headlines the pre-game entertainment for the 2024 AFL Grand Final at Melbourne Cricket Ground, where she’s set to perform ahead of the Sydney Swans vs. Brisbane Lions clash. During an interview on The Fox’s Fifi, Fev & Nick, Perry hinted at a surprise collaboration during her AFL performance, teasing, “All I know is that it’s a fellow Scorpio… and she’s great.” The event marks another high-profile appearance for Perry in Australia, further building anticipation for her 2025 tour.
TEG DAINTY, the company producing The Lifetimes Tour, has a long-standing relationship with Perry. Paul Dainty AO, president and CEO of TEG Dainty, expressed his enthusiasm about Perry’s return: “Katy Perry, one of the most in-demand global superstars, is heading back to tour Australia in June, 2025. Few musical artists achieve the kind of career Katy has earned.” Dainty, who previously promoted Perry’s 2014 Prismatic tour across Australia, highlighted her enduring appeal and the unmissable nature of her live performances.
Perry’s previous tour, the Prismatic World Tour, saw her perform 23 shows across Australia, drawing massive crowds and solidifying her status as one of the most popular touring artists in the region. The Lifetimes Tour is expected to build on that legacy, bringing an unforgettable live music experience to fans.
Tickets for The Lifetimes Tour go on general sale at 10 am (local time) on Friday, October 4, via Ticketek. Given Perry’s track record of sold-out shows and large audiences, fans are encouraged to secure their tickets early.
