Ye Makes “Donda 2” Available On All Streaming Platforms

Ye makes the critically polarizing 2021 album, Donda, available on mainstream streaming services. As of April 30, fans can now access the 18-track project on YouTube Music and Spotify. This marks the first time the full album has been widely distributed outside the proprietary Stem Player device. Apple Music availability is still pending at press time.

The album officially premiered in February 2022 at a theatrical listening event at Miami’s LoanDepot Park. “Donda 2” was initially locked behind Ye’s tech innovation—the Stem Player. While it signaled a bold move toward artist independence and direct-to-fan distribution, it also left many fans without access to the full project. But now the game has changed.

Executive produced by Future, Donda 2 is rich with high-profile collaborations, featuring appearances from XXXTENTACION, Don Toliver, Migos, Jack Harlow, and Travis Scott. Fans can also find Playboi Carti, Baby Keem, and Future himself. The album retains its original cover art: a haunting image of Ye’s childhood home engulfed in flames. Thus marking an emblematic continuation of “Donda”‘s central themes of loss, legacy, and personal resurrection.

Among the album’s most talked-about tracks is “City of Gods,” an explosive collaboration with Fivio Foreign and Alicia Keys. Though technically released as a single for Fivio’s B.I.B.L.E. project, the song serves as a spiritual touchstone for “Donda 2.” What’s more, it even charted at No. 46 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Another notable inclusion is “530,” a track that reappeared on Vultures 2, Ye’s collaborative album with Ty Dolla $ign. The updated version included on Donda 2 reflects a more polished, completed sound. Hence making a testament to the iterative and often chaotic creative process Ye has become known for.

Additionally, a controversial meta touch is the sample of Kim Kardashian’s 2021 Saturday Night Live monologue, which opens the track “Sci-Fi.” In it, Kardashian declares.

“I married the best rapper of all time… the richest Black man in America. A talented, legit genius who gave me four incredible kids.” The inclusion is vintage Ye—unapologetically self-referential and emotionally loaded.

The rapper, who has been residing in Spain throughout much of April, hosted a masked livestream event the night before the album hit streaming platforms. The premiere featured prominent online personalities. The list included Digital Nas, Sneako, and N3on, offering fans a window into the re-release’s arrival.

Despite the ongoing backlash over recent inflammatory rants on X (formerly Twitter), Ye continues to push forward musically. In March, he dropped a visual edition of his Bully album, further expanding his experimental approach to music and media.

With Donda 2 now entering the mainstream ecosystem, listeners who missed its original rollout can finally engage with one of Ye’s most enigmatic and experimental projects—on their own terms.
