LISA Reveals There May Be A New Release From BLACKPINK

LISA has confirmed that new music from the chart-topping K-pop powerhouse is on the horizon. Thus, the three years of silence from BLACKPINK’s side are ending.

In an interview with Variety on May 3, LISA offered a much-anticipated update. Meanwhile, she promoted her sleek new collaboration with Bose. “Actually, we were in the studio a few days ago,” she revealed. “We’re all super excited to get back together and go on tour. We really miss the Blinks. We can’t wait to see them.”

The new material would mark BLACKPINK’s first official group release since 2023. That’s the year when the group released a standalone single, “The Girls,” and their first project since 2022’s “Born Pink.” It’s worth mentioning that “Born Pink” made history as the first album by a female K-pop group to top the Billboard 200. Thus, the album fueled a massive global tour that became the highest-grossing ever for a female group.

Since wrapping their tour in September 2023, all four members have ventured into solo territory. Hence, we are exploring new sonic ground with impressive results.

For example, Rosé led the charge with Rosie, a confessional pop-rock effort that climbed to No. 3 on the Billboard 200. Jisoo followed with her introspective EP Amortage in February. Meanwhile, LISA and Jennie dropped Alter Ago and Ruby, respectively — back-to-back releases that each debuted at No. 7, proving that BLACKPINK’s star power remains potent, united, or apart.

LISA and Solo Career

LISA has also been busy bridging pop worlds, most recently teaming up with Maroon 5 for their new single “Priceless.” Her feature adds an edgy, bilingual flair to the track’s guitar-driven throwback vibe. Shot on 35mm film and directed by Aerin Moreno, the cinematic music video pays homage to Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Also adds a glossy, action-tinged visual to match the song’s swagger.

As anticipation builds, BLACKPINK’s return to the stage is already in motion. The group is set to kick off a new tour in July with a series of shows in South Korea, followed by stops in North America, Europe, the U.K., and Japan — where they’ll play three dates in January 2026.

Asked whether new music might drop ahead of the live dates, LISA remained coy but encouraging. “You have to be patient about it,” she told Variety. “It’s coming soon, I promise. It’s about time.”

For fans worldwide, it’s a promise that hits like a drumbeat — steady, electrifying, and impossible to ignore.
