Power Gets Vulnerable On Intimate New Single “Secrets”

Hip-hop and R&B artist Power has returned with a new single called “Secrets,” which is available now on all streaming platforms. The track represents a shift for the typically motivational artist, diving into themes of vulnerability, sensuality, and deep connection.

Power blends smooth R&B vocals with poetic rap delivery on the track, creating what he describes as a “sonic confession.” On the chorus, he sings about intimate trust: “Tell me all your secrets, baby / You know I’ll never let you go,” establishing the song’s central theme of loyalty and deep presence.

The single’s release comes with interesting personal context. Power recently revealed his diagnosis with Waardenburg syndrome, a rare genetic condition that caused his eyes to permanently change from brown to crystal light blue. The diagnosis came during recording sessions for his upcoming album.

“I always knew I was a mutant alien, but this just proves it now,” Power told press. “I was recording my second album and pushing hard toward the deadline—then boom, life throws me this curveball.”

Following his previous singles “Cloud 9” and “Telepathic,” “Secrets” continues to showcase Power’s evolution as an artist who balances street-wisdom with spiritual depth. Drawing inspiration from icons like Tupac, Nipsey Hussle, and Eminem, the Los Angeles-based artist creates music that acknowledges life’s hardships while pushing toward something more transcendent.
